Abstract: In 2010 the University of Stirling Library underwent a major refurbishment which greatly improved the provision for, and profile of, the University Archives. The redesign of the building transformed the library into a bright, modern environment, the first major improvement of the building since it opened in 1971. A new Archives and Special Collections area was created which allows our historical collections to be fully accessible to researchers for the first time. These collections have grown and developed over the years to provide a rich resource for teaching and research and the new facilities have resulted in a number of major new accessions in recent years.
